Resolution:
TIBCO Rendezvous software supports ALL the versions of IGMP.
FYI, RV does not do anything special with regards to IGMP, it's an IP multicast application like any other, we open a multicast socket in the most standard way (RV simply invokes setsockopt() with IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP), and it's up to the hosts' OS to implement the IGMP protocol.
RV does not send out IGMP join messages, it is the operating system that does so. It is then up to the operating system to start performing actions prescribed by IGMP. Therefore, if any unexpected behaviour occurs with IGMP, you need to address your question to the specific OS vendor.
