Resolution:
Generally if the RV daemon is not running, EMS will try to start or restart it (like every RV transport creation). If the latter is not possible (i.e. the RV transport is configured to use a remote RV daemon) there are 2 possible cases:

1) If the RV daemon is not available *since* EMS was trying to create the transport, the following message will be printed and EMS will not try to create the RV transport anymore:

2007-06-14 11:48:53 ERROR: Unable to create Rendezvous transport 'RV0': Not connected to daemon

2) If the RV transport was correctly created by EMS and *later* the RV daemon was not available anymore (i.e. it crashed on a remote machine), then EMS will show the following advisory message when the RV daemon goes down and will try to reconnect to the RV daemon every 10 seconds:

2007-06-14 12:26:04 Rendezvous Advisory: {ADV_CLASS="WARN" ADV_SOURCE="SYSTEM" ADV_NAME="RVD.DISCONNECTED"}

If EMS is creating an RV transport, what happens if the RV daemon that EMS is connecting to is not running or suddenly crash?
