Resolution:
In order to reconnect automatically please use the -dbretry flag that will allow RTView to automatically reconnect to the database if the connection is lost. It is in the standard doc. Here is the information from the doc:
-dbretry:(milliseconds): Specify the interval (in milliseconds) to retry connecting to a database after an attempt to connect fails. Default is -1, which which disables this feature.
Example:
-dbretry:30000
