Resolution:
To enable the run-time adapter to handle '/' IDOCs, the property 'adr3.requireSlashReplacement' needs to be set to 'ON'. In your adr3.tra file enter the following
adr3.requireSlashReplacement=ON.
By default this property is set to OFF. That means, the adapter won't be able to handle '/' idocs, unless user explicitly sets it to ON.
