Resolution:
Generally we do not have any specific reccomendations on the Linux Distribution/Processor, we go by the Kernel and the glibc version, and as per our readme (BE 2.1.1) these are the supported Kernel and glibc versions.
Linux Kernel 2.4, glibc 2.2 on x86 (32 bit, 64-bit)
Linux Kernel 2.6, glibc 2.3 on x86 (32 bit, 64-bit)
In our QA environment, we have tested BE on RedHat AS 4.0 and on AMD Opteron environment.
