Resolution:
We don't recommend to run the higher version of client against lower version of server. Because
the new features and functionalities added with the higher version might cause some issues. Higher
version of API set might have new APIs and this can not be handled by lower version of server.

So you can try compiling the higher version of clients against lower versions of API set to see whether
all the APIs used in the higher version get resolved or not. If all are not getting resolved, you might not get
the same equivalent API in lower version. Or you can try to use set of different APIs to get the same
functionality if possible. At any case, it is easier and safe to run the application against  the same version
of server and API set it was built on.
