Description
Description: Symptoms ======== This is a known issue with TIBCO Hawk 4.8.0 when upgrading an existing Administration Domain created with an earlier version of TIBCO Hawk, such as TIBCO Hawk 4.7.0. After installing TIBCO Hawk 4.8.0 to upgrade an earlier version of TIBCO Hawk supplied with TIBCO Runtime Agent, such as the the TIBCO Hawk 4.7.0 included with TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.5.4, deployed applications enter an "unknown" state and can no longer be started. Error java.lang.ClassCastException might be shown in tsm.log.
Impact ====== The Hawk agent (of this domain client) cannot operate properly with the domain and sometimes cannot be started.
Workaround ========== To remove the whole hawk 4.8 folder, replace it with the hawk folder from 4.7.0 and restart TRA HawkAgent. For customers who are using TRA 5.5, it is recommended not to upgrade to Hawk 4.8 at the moment.
Resolution ========== This issue will be fixed in the upcoming service pack release of TIBCO Hawk 4.8.1, expected Q3 2008. Please contact TIBCO Support for any additional question, including a better estimation of the release date. Symptoms:
