The differences are below:
1.    The components of hawk Display and Hawk Event Services are only included in the standalone hawkagent. These are very important tools to create custom rulebase to monitor processes/jobs and monitoring the health of hawkagent. If standalone hawk is not installed, you can not get the two components.
2.    The hawk plugin for admin, such as monitoring console, all alert console, including the agent tab only comes with the standalone hawk. If hawk standalone is not installed on the administrator machine, you can not get them at the Admin GUI level.
3.    For functions of Hawk Display, Hawk Event, Hawk plugin for Administrator, please refer to the Hawk documentation. TRA stands for TIBCO Runtime Agent and that means it is the runtime environment of TIBCO applications like BWengine and Adapters. So it's required to install if you want to run applications on the machine and the TRA hawkagent is a very import part of TRA. Actually, the TRA Hawkagent is the hawkagent + TSM (TIBCO Service Management) which is used to administrator the TIBCO services. But if you want to get the extra functions like display and event service, you need to get them from standalone hawkagent.
4.    To get those additional parts, you can just install the standalone hawk on top of TRA. Please note, we recommend to install the same standalone hawk version with the one bundled in TRA. And it is recommended to stop all running TIBCO products before the installation.
5.    Install the standalone hawkagent will not change the configuration of the domain. The TRA hawkagent is using some separate configuration files under the TRA folder.
