Resolution:
Up to RV 7.5.4, the support policy on Linux machines was dependant on the kernel version and glibc version of a particular Linux box.
For example, RV 7.5.4 is supported on:
Linux 2.4, glibc 2.2
Linux 2.4, glibc 2.3
With New RV 8, the support policy for Linux environments has been redefined to support RV on vendor provided versions.
RV 8.x is supported on RHEL 4, RHEL 5 and SUSE Enterprise Linux 10 service pack 1.
