Description
Resolution: BWC users can be configured with the Strict Password Policy or a custom policy that contains option to change password on first login. Following are the steps to be followed:
1.Steps to add the users to the Domain: a. Create domain with strict password policy or custom policy that contains option to change the password on first login. Please note that the element “SaveHashMode” must be set to “false” in the mentioned policy. b. Launch Administrator GUI. Create users “icdba” and “bwwfagent” in admin domain and set password according to password policy and then logout from Administrator. c. Register the BWC components through Domain Utility. d. Launch Administrator GUI. You will find the other BWC default users (bwwfagentusera and bwwfagentuserb) got added in domain and respective roles are assigned.
2. Steps to change passwords for icdba and bwwfagent:
a. Log in with the icdba user and the bwwfagent user to Administrator. It will prompt you to change the passwords for these users since it is the first login. Change the passwords. b. Launch Batch Registry to change the password for “icdba” using UPDATE USER command. The new password should match with the modified password of “icdba” set in Administrator c. Synchronize the users from the Administrator GUI.
3. Steps to configure the password for the applications deployed before the password change. a. Open the project in the Designer. b. Change the password in the Workflow connection activity if any. c. Build the application ear again. d. Deploy the newly build EAR again with new password set in the Advanced Tab of Workflow Service in Administrator GUI.
This scenario arises when there is any password expiry policy or password is changed intentionally.
