Description:
TIBCO Enterprise Message Service 5.0.0 now supports Windows Server 2008 DataCenter Edition in addition to the currently supported platforms listed in the product documentation.

Please refer to the product readme for details on the other supported platforms.

Limitation and Restrictions:

All functionality provided by TIBCO Enterprise Message Service 5.0.0 is supported, however default permissions on some executables and files must be altered manually in order to function correctly. Please refer to Configuration Changes below for detail.


Installation Steps:
===================

Please use the Windows installation package provided with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service 5.0.0 and follow the instructions as detailed in the respective product documentation.


Configuration Changes:
==================

Following installation, please make these changes:

1. The EMS configuration files and data store must be copied to or created in a directory for which the user running the EMS daemons has read/write permission. See the EMS User Guide “Using the Configuration Files” chapter for details.

2. If the multicast feature is desired, the tibemsd and tibemsmcd should either be started by the Administrator or they should have the executable file property set to “Run As Administrator”.

3. The sample applications must be copied to a directory for which the user has read/write permission in order to build or modify them.



Known Issues:
============

CR 1-9CZFPZ: Change the way we build the multicast daemon and tibemsd executables so that on Vista and Win2K8 they will run as Administrator (without requiring manual post-install steps) and be able to write to the EMS configuration files in C:\Program Data\tibco
