Description

Description:
TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 now supports TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation.  The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0

Although Data Direct drivers have been deprecated in TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2, Data Direct drivers are fully supported with this Adapter version.

Limitation and Restrictions:
============================
1) Please refer to the TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2 documentation for supported versions of TIBCO Administrator (see LBN1-9DNP7O).

2) 64-bit TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 or TRA 5.6.2 is required when using the TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 on HP Itanium, because this Adapter is a 64-bit application on this platform. On all other supported platforms, TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 is supported with either 32-bit or 64-bit TRA packages.

Configuration:
==========
No adapter configuration changes are required to use TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 or TRA 5.6.2 with TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 .

Known Issues:
===========

1)TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0  fails to start with JMS transport

Symptoms:

After installing TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.0, TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.1, TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.2, TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0  projects using Enterprise Message Service as transport will not start up and gives the following error:

Message "Code = AESDKC-0156,
Category = JmsComm, Severity = errorRole, Description = could not open JMS shared library jms." displays.

Impact
Loss of Functionality. Adapter does not start.

Cause:

The JMS libraries shipped with TRA are not compatible with the ones shipped with SDK.

Workaround:
Please note that the workaround varies, based on the platform used:

On Windows:
Remove the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll from &ltTIBCO_HOME>/adapters/sdk/version/bin
On UNIX(Solaris-SPARC):
Remove the libssl.so and libcrypto.so libraries from the TIBCO_HOME/sdk/version/lib and TIBCO_HOME/sdk/version/lib/64 directories

2) After upgrading TIBCO Runtime Agent from 5.4 to 5.6.0, or 5.6.1 or 5.6.2, TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 , in the migrated domain will not start up on Linux and HP-UX platforms.

Workaround:
The Adapter .tra file containing the classpath %TIBCO_HOME%/tibrv/lib or %RV_HOME%/lib need to be changed to point to a specific .jar file. You will need to choose either tibrvj.jar or tibrvjsd.jar to
specify the file. On HP-UX with 64-bit installations, add tibrvj.jar at the end of the classpath. On Linux platforms with 64-bit and 32-bit installations, add tibrvjsd.jar at the end of the classpath

3) After installing TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.5.4 on top of TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.5.0 or 5.5.2 or installing TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.0, or 5.6.1 or 5.6.2, the TIBCO Adapter for ActiveDatabase 5.3.0 applications will not start up if using HTTP to communicate with the administration server.

Workaround:
