Description:
TIBCO Adapter for IBM AS/400 5.3.0 now supports TRA 5.6, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation.  The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO Adapter for IBM AS/400 5.3.0.

Limitation and Restrictions:

Please refer to the TRA 5.6.0 documentation for supported versions of TIBCO Administrator (see LBN1-9DNP7O).

TIBCO Adapter for IBM AS/400 is supported with either 32-bit or 64-bit TRA packages.

In order to run the adapter with the 64-bit TRA package (which uses the 64-bit JVM), a workaround must be implemented. The workaround is described below, under Known Issues.

No adapter configuration changes are required to use TRA 5.6.0

Known Issues:
===========
TIBCO Adapter for IBM AS/400 5.3 fails to start with 64-bit TRA 5.6.0

Symptoms:
===========
After installing the 64-bit TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.0, TIBCO Adapter for IBM AS/400 will not start up and gives the following error:

“Failed to load shared library, library name: /tibco/jre/1.5.0/bin/classic/libjvm”

Impact:
======
Loss of Functionality. Adapter does not start.

Cause:
The adapter includes 32-bit libraries that cannot run with the 64-bit JVM that with the 64-bit packages of TRA

Workaround:
===========
Follow these steps
1. Remove the adapter executable from &ltTIBCO_HOME>/adapter/&ltadapter_name>/&ltversion>/bin
2. Copy &ltTIBCO_HOME>/tra/5.6/bin/wrap64 to TIBCO_HOME/adapter/&ltadapter_name>/&ltversion>/bin, and rename wrap64 to &ltadapter_executable>
3. Open the &ltTIBCO_HOME>/adapter/&ltadapter_name>/versison/bin/&ltproperties_file> file and modify the tibco.env.CUSTOM_LIB_PATH variable to &ltRV_HOME>/lib/64.
