There are a number of aspects related to installing and running iProcess™ Suite on Windows Vista that we would like to draw your attention to.
Oracle 9i ------------- Oracle 9i is not supported on Windows Vista. Therefore, iProcess Suite when running on Windows Vista does not support Oracle 9i.
Installation when User Access Control is turned on ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If User Access Control (UAC) is turned on, please follow the following guidance:
• You must run the installation as an Administrator. To do this right-click the Setup file and select Run as Administrator. • You cannot run the iProcess Objects Server Configuration Utility during installation. In that case, clear this check box and run the configuration utility separately after installation. • You must elevate the window issuing the swstart command to run it as an Administrator.
iProcess Objects Server Configuration Utility and UAC ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have installed on Windows Vista and UAC is turned on, you must then run the configuration utility post install by selecting the SWEntObjSvCfg.exe program file in the SWDIR/bin directory and elevating it to run it as an Administrator. (You cannot elevate the utility if you try to run it from Control Panel.)
TIBCO iProcess Workspace (Browser) and Manual IIS Permissions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you are installing TIBCO iProcess Workspace (Browser) on Windows Vista, you must set full control permissions for the IIS_USRS group:
• Right-click on the TIBCOActProc directory and select Properties. • On the Security tab, check to see if the IIS_USRS group account has modify permissions. If necessary, add the “IIS_USRS” group account and give it modify permissions.
TIBCO iProcess Workspace (Browser) Console and Silent Installation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Console and Silent Installation/Un-installation is not supported with iProcess Workspace (Browser) 11.0.0 but is supported with version 11.0.1.
