Resolution:
Before adding an EMS server or a servlet engine into a domain, you must add the machine having the EMS server/servlet engine into a domain, otherwise, a window showing 'there are no domains available to be configured. Cannot continue with this task' will pop up, and the operation would fail.
In order to add the machine into a domain, the Domain Utility must be run from the machine that you want to add to the domain.
