TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for SAP 5.5 now supports TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1 and TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Bus 2.1, in addition to other supported versions listed in the product documentation. The only ActiveMatrix Service Grid and ActiveMatrix Service Bus features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for SAP.
Installation Changes:
- TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Service Engine for SAP 5.5.1* is required to support ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1 or ActiveMatrix Service Bus 2.1.
- A separate installation of ActiveMatrix Foundation is not required for compatibility with ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1 or ActiveMatrix Service Bus 2.1. Instead, ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1 or ActiveMatrix Service Bus 2.1 must be installed prior to installing the Adapter Service Engine.
Configuration Changes:
No configuration changes are required to use ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1 or ActiveMatrix Service Bus 2.1.
Known Issues:
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Service Engine for SAP 5.5.1 would not able to start on Solaris 64 bit platform.
Symptoms:
The adapter will not start and the following message is displayed in the logs and the console:
Failed to start bundle [ com.tibco.matrix.adapter.service.native ] Class Not Found : com.tibco.matrix.adapter.service.fragment.Loader
Impact:
1- Loss of Functionality. Adapter will not start
Cause:
The class path for com.tibco.matrix.adapter.service.fragment.Loader is missing from the manifest.
Workaround:
The following steps needs to perform post Installation of SAP Adapter Service Engine 5.5.1 on Solaris 64 bit-only
Add following entry in the MANIFEST.MF file under folder TIB_HOME/components/eclipse/plugins/com.tibco.matrix.adapter.service.native.sol_sparc64_1.0.0.005/META-INF where TIB_HOME is the root folder of Active Matrix installation.
Export-Package: com.tibco.matrix.adapter.service.fragment and make sure to enter new line after this line.
Resolution:
This issue will be fixed in a future release
