Description:
TIBCO Adapter SDK 5.4.0, 5.4.1, 5.5.0, and 5.5.1 now support AIX 6.1, in addition to the currently supported platforms listed in the product documentation.  Please note that any new features or functionality available in AIX 6.1 are not necessarily supported by the listed TIBCO Adapter SDK versions. Please contact Support if there are any questions regarding whether a certain feature is supported by these TIBCO Adapter SDK.

Limitation and Restrictions:

TRA 5.6.0 or TRA 5.6.1 is required when using AIX 6.1 - please refer to LBN1-9DSCUQ for details regarding TRA 5.6.

Limitation and Restrictions for C++ SDK:
IBM AIX 6.1 is supported using the following compilers
- (POWER 32-bit) - Compiler: xlc v5.1.0 and later
- (POWER 64-bit) -  Compiler: xlc v5.1.0 and later

Limitation and Restrictions for Java SDK:
AIX 6.1 is supported on 32-bit and 64-bit platforms using JRE 1.5.

Installation Steps:
===================

TIBCO Adapter SDK5.5.1 already provides an installation package for IBM AIX. Please use the IBM AIX  installation package for installation on IBM AIX 6.1 and follow the installation instructions as detailed in the respective product documentation.
