Use of Manage Job Delete pallete can invalidate existing jobs in the workflow server.  Jobs that were created from the job template will error out with a stack starting with
"BW Process of type [null] could not be started for task XXX" . . .
"Caused by: com.inconcert.util.services.WfServiceException, Reason: Object Does Not Exist., Translation: Object Does Not Exist., Facility: CLIENT at com.inconcert.util.services.WfDocumentService.loadDocument(Unknown Source) ".

Exporting of the job template while not using overwrite will allow new jobs to start working.  
Please contact Support to remedy existing jobs.

This problem is fixed in BWC 5.5.1 hotfix 1.  Please see LBN1-9XLXM0 for details and where to download the hotfix.
