Description:
TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT v5.6.0 now supports TRA 5.6.1 and 5.6.2, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation.  The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT.  

Limitation and Restrictions:

Please refer to the TRA 5.6.1/5.6.2 documentation for supported versions of TIBCO Administrator (see LBN1-9DNP7O).

TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT v5.6.0 supports TRA 5.6.0, 5.6.1 and 5.6.2 with JRE 1.5.0, 1.6.0.

64-bit TRA is required on the HP Itanium platform, as the SWIFTNet-FIN BusinessWorks Plugin is a 64-bit application.
On all platforms except HP-Itanium, TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT is supported with either 32-bit or 64-bit TRA packages.

In order to run the adapter with the 64-bit TRA package (which uses the 64-bit JVM), a workaround must be implemented. The workaround is described below, under Known Issues.

Configuration:

No adapter configuration changes are required to use TRA 5.6.1/5.6.2

Known Issues:
===========
TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT v5.6.0 fails to start with TRA 64-bit

Symptoms:
===========
After installing the 64-bit TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.1/5.6.2,
TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT will not start up and gives the following error:

For JRE 1.5.0:
"Failed to load shared library, library name: /tibco/jre/1.5.0/bin/classic/libjvm"

For JRE 1.6.0:
"Failed to load shared library, library name: /tibco/jre/1.6.0/bin/classic/libjvm"

Impact:
======
Loss of Functionality. Adapter does not start.

Cause:
======
The adapter to run with a 64-bit TRA would require 64-bit libraries.

Workaround:
==========
Follow these steps:
1. Remove the adapter executable (say 'adswiftsender') from TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adswift/5.6/bin
2. Copy TIBCO_HOME/tra/5.6/bin/wrap64 to TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adswift/5.6/bin, and rename wrap64 to adswiftsender
3. Open the TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adswift/5.6/bin/adswiftsender.tra file and modify the tibco.env.CUSTOM_LIB_PATH variable to &ltRV_HOME>/lib/64.

Resolution
==========
TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT v5.7.0 is available with a 64-bit package on AIX platform. Please migrate to SWIFT Adapter v5.7.0 in order to resolve the startup error on AIX Platform.

For all other platforms, kindly continue using the above workaround.
