RV does not impose any limit on the potential size of a ledger file. In RV version 7.x, support was added for ledger files larger than 2 GB on those platforms which permit it. However, the RVCM ledger file size prior to RV 8.1.x was restricted to maximum of 4GB only. Since RV 8.1.x we have introduced an enhancement and the ledger file size restriction of 4 GB is no longer valid.
