Resolution:
Description

If TRA 5.6.0 was upgraded from 5.5.4 and it’s being further upgraded to 5.6.1 or 5.6.2, it fails with the error of INTERNAL ERROR: Verification of TIBCO Rendezvous 8.x.x installation failed.
This issue has been reported on HP and Red Hat.

Symptoms
                The error message while failing to install is:
                From TRA 5.6.0 to 5.6.1:

                INTERNAL ERROR: Verification of TIBCO Rendezvous 8.1.2 installation failed.
                Version 8.1.2 does not match with the version in the readme file at C:\tibco\tibrv.

                From TRA 5.6.0 to 5.6.2:

                INTERNAL ERROR: Verification of TIBCO Rendezvous 8.2.1 installation failed.
                Version 8.2.1 does not match with the version in the readme file at C:\tibco\tibrv.

Cause

This is an installer defect. After upgrading TRA from 5.5.4 to 5.6.0, the subfolder of TIBCO_HOME/tibrv/tibrv_extract should be deleted, but it was not.

Workaround

The workaround is to manually delete the folder of TIBCO_HOME/tibrv/tibrv_extract before further upgrading of TRA 5.6.1 or 5.6.2.
