In case of outbound connection, the RFC trace can set to enabled by setting the RFC Trace parameter as 1 under the RunTime-Outbound Tab. This field can be specified as a Global variable so that it can be edited at runtime or deployment. In case the RFC Trace parameter has not been set as a Global variable in the adapter configuration, the RFC trace can be enabled/disabled by checking/unchecking the "Set RFC Trace" parameter under the Special Options tab for the corresponding RFC Destination using the sm59 trasaction in SAP.

In case of Inbound connection, the RFC trace can set to enabled by setting the RFC Trace parameter as 1 under the Advanced Tab in the R3AdapterConfigurationInboundConnectionClient0 under the R3Connection/Clients folder. This parameter can also be set as Global Variable. The value of the Global variable can be edited during runtime or deployment. Please refer to Chapter 4 Configuring the Adapter with Advanced Options : Setting Advanced Client Options in the adapter's user guide.
