Description

Resolution:
There are no known restrictions for the number of services under one instance.

It is recommended to divide the services as per the requirement, as more number of services under one instance could affect the performance.

So split the services as shown in the following order.

1) Split inbound and outbound services.
2) Then from inbound services split BAPI & RFCs(RPC Server) vs. IDocs.(Subscriber)
3) From Outbound services split BAPI & RFCs (RPC Client) vs. IDocs (Publisher)
4) BAPIs require commit and not require commit.
5) Services which will process large messages.
6) Services which require multiple connections & single connection (multithread & single thread).
7) Depending on the transport being used by the services(RV andJMS).
8) Depending on the SAP Applications connected. Say some services are using ECC 6.0 Unicode and some one are using 4.7 Non-Unicode.

The maximum number of active RFC connections at one time are determined by the environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV. This value is set to 100 by default. Please tune this value based on the expected load. For the corresponding changes possible at SAP end, please refer SAP notes 375065, 316877 for details.
