Description

Resolution:

This is a known issue with TIBCO IntegrationManager 5.0.2 pointing to JRE 1.6. This error comes from the wrapper script imse.exe/imed.exe . A little bit background on what this scripts are and when it was introduced follows.

- From IM 4.5 version and later, IM started using the wrapper scripts provided by the TRA  instead of batch scripts. These batch scripts were deprecated in IM 5.x version and users had to use these executables.

- The IM engine works fine with java.exe but is not feasible since Hawk and other TIBCO workflows will break if IM is not recognized as an IM process.

The IM engine works with the wrapper script that is shipped with TRA 5.6 and later. The solution is to copy the wrap.exe script from the TIBCO Runtime Agent (TRA) 5.6 or later and rename it to imse.exe and imed.exe . Delete the old imse/imed.exe files before copying and renaming.

Since IM is not dependent on the TRA, the only solution would be to give a new version of imse.exe and imed.exe rebuilt using the new wrapper.

We do not have a planned release for a hot fix so we will not reveal any of the two workarounds in the LBN where we can claim support for JRE 1.6.
