In the TIBCO Adapter for Clarify (Clarify Adapter) configuration, there are 3 Test Connections that are provided to verify the configuration.

Please find below the details on the checks that may be performed for the Clarify Adapter Design time connection to be successful.

All the 'Test Connection' uses the Design time Clarify Adapter executable - 'adclarify_DTA'.

The following settings are required in the environment or configuration for the Test Connection to be successful -

1. For the Design-Time tab, 'Connect'

The path to the client libraries needs to set in the environment variables.

For e.g. - tibco.env.CUSTOM_CP_EXT C:/AmdocsCRM7.5/ClarifyClient/lib;C:/AmdocsCRM7.5/ClarifyClient

2. For the Runtime tab, 'Test CBO Connection'

The path to the CBO Jars should be included in the environment variables.

For e.g. - tibco.env.CUSTOM_CP_EXT C:/AmdocsCRM7.5/ClarifyClient/lib;C:/AmdocsCRM7.5/ClarifyClient

3. For Runtime tab - 'Test JDBC Connection'

The database client libraries are required to establish the JDBC connection successfully.

The JDBC Connection is established using the JDBC URL. The Clarify Adapter forms this JDBC URL and is available as read only in the Adapter GUI. Please verify the JDBC URL formed is correct.

For e.g. - tibco.env.CUSTOM_CP_EXT c:/SQLServer2005/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip

4. While using the Oracle as the Database, the Database Name field should be populated as the Oracle SID. The 'Database Name' terminology is specific to Microsoft SQL Server.
