Is there an EMS server configuration option that will limit the number of connections per user?

You can limit the maximum number of simultaneous client connections by specifying the max_connections =   parameter in tibemsd.conf but this option will not limit the number of connections per user.

To impose a limit on connections per user you will need to use the Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) security feature available beginning in EMS 5.0.0 .
