While using the TIBCO Adapter(TM) for Teradata (Teradata Adapter), to insert data with an apostrophe into the Teradata database fails.

Environment

Symptoms
=========
Teradata Adapter while inserting data with an apostrophe fails with the following error -

Error "expected something between a string or a Unicode character literal and the word 's'."

This failure occurs only on tables having parent child relationship.

Cause
======
It is a defect in the adapter.

Impact
======
Loss of functionality as the adapter will not be able to insert the data, with an apostrophe.

Workaround
===========
Add a  BW process to check for the apostrophe in the data and modify it to have an extra apostrophe – ‘’. For example,  the input value needs to be changed from “UCW – Puccino’s Credit Card” to “UCW – Puccino’’s Credit Card”.
