MFT agent when deployed as an NT Service might run into an AccessControlExceptions which will cause the agent to shut down.
Environment:
This applies to all WINDOWS environments
Symptoms:
The MFT trace log will show exceptions like the one below.
'Job-System com.tibco.ax.tcm.messenger.runtime.impl.StartupException: [00-30-0380-E] Failed to initialize key store. access denied'
Cause:
The AccessControlException can occur if the MFT NT service uses a non-default user directory (c:/windows) which doesn't have enough permissions.
Resolution:
This can be rectified by specifying the complete path to the certificate (ex. C:/keys/mykey.p7b).
