Resolution:
While viewing a Promotion and PF04 is hit a second time to view the tables in the Promotion,  the following error message is displayed:

            Error during sort of table "@PROM_OBJ"

Hitting PF02 then shows the following additional messages
:
            Error detected in rule "VIEW_TABLES" at action 7                                
            Access error on table "@PROM_OBJ"                                              
            FORALL  @PROM_OBJ('DOB50ZOS','15') WHERE TYPE = TABLE | TYPE = SCRTBL | TYPE =
            Error during sort of table "@PROM_OBJ"


CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM:

          Insufficient amount of virtual storage available for external sort is the most common cause for this error


SOLUTION:

          Review the value for EE Parameter SORTEXTMEMMAX.  If you are using the default (244K), or some other low value, please change it to a higher value (e.g. 1 or 2 Meg).

          If this does not resolve the problem, please see if you can find some SYNCSORT/DFSORT messages in the logs and send these to TIBCO Support.  

          If you can not find any messages, please review the EE parameter SORTPRINT and set the value to ALL,  (at least for this run) so that the relevant messages are printed out.

Viewing of Promotion fails with message: Error during sort of table "@PROM_OBJ"
