Resolution:
How to point current Database used for one TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager (CIM) setup to other CIM setup?

Environemnt:

TIBCO Product name and version: TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager 8.0.0 (and earlier versions)
Operating System(s): All Operating Systems

Symptoms:

Cause:

Resolution:

In case you want to use the same Database user schema that's already in use by one CIM setup, you can simply do the following:

1. Stop the Application server used by first CIM installation.
2. Configure the Database in target CIM setup as indicated in CIM Installation and Configuration Guide, Installing on JBOSS / WebLogic / Webshere Application Server section as per your choice of Application Server.  Make sure that you use the exactly same Database settings as you used in your first CIM installation.
3. Deploy the ECM.ear in target Application Server and start the server.

NOTE: In this case make sure that you don't have both the CIM instances running at the same time (JBOSS and Weblogic) as it may lead to synchronization issues.

However in case you want to use a different schema for the new CIM instance you will need to import the seed data in addition to the Database configuration indicated in the document section above.
