Description
Description: The output from the $REALTIMER shareable tool will exceed the documented capacity of 8 byte packed in September 2011. After that time a larger, 9 byte/17 decimal digit, packed number will be produced.
This may have significant implications for some customers who store $REALTIMER values in tables.
* If the difference between two $REALTIMER values are stored in tables there should be no impact. * If full $REALTIMER values are stored then the length of the fields will need to be increased. The length of non-key fields can simply be increased in the table definition. * Tables where $REALTIMER values are part of the primary key will need to be unloaded, cleared, changed and reloaded. * Tables where $REALTIMER values are part of a secondary key will need the secondary key to be removed before the change and then rebuilt.
This LBN item is being issued so that customers can evaluate the impact to their environment and make any required changes to table definitions before September 2011.
Delivered Maintenance: ---------------------- For customers using TIBCO Object Service Broker for Open Systems 5.2.0, refer to LBN1-C3L0N4 and apply Hotfix 02 which upgrades the Screen and Report Definer to support larger field sizes for packed and binary numbers as well as offline utilities.
