Description

Resolution:
EMS running on a Linux host is stalled when attempting to create the datastore file. Only the meta.db file is created. Shared storage uses NFS as the file system. The user starting EMS has the privilege to write data to the shared storage point.

Environment
ALL

Resolution:

This issue is caused by the absence of the nfslock daemon running on the node hosting the server resulting in the EMS server to fail locking the storage point. After the nfslock daemon is restarted the EMS server will start properly.
