Yes, XML Canon 3.2 is compatible with OS AIX 5.3. However, before you start the upgrade installation of XML Canon 3.2 please be advised to download the TIBCO XML Canon release 3.2 documents from http://download.tibco.com and review the TIBCO XML Canon 3.2 release notes (especially the “migration and compatibility” section) as well as the TIBCO XML Canon 3.2 installation guide. And you MUST backup your XML Canon 3.1.1 data.

Please note that there are significant changes in the JRE and in database and driver support between XML Canon 3.1 and 3.2 (see “Installation Requirements” chapter in the XML Canon release 3.2 Installation guide). Due to these changes, the ease of migrating/upgrading the XML Canon data between 3.1 and 3.2 will depend on which database has been in use with your XML Canon 3.1.1, the database version, and the JDBC driver. Reviewing the “migration and compatibility” section in the XML Canon 3.2 release notes before installation should help.
