After installing the TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ (EMS) on Solaris 10 with kernel versions prior to 137112-01, when the EMS daemon tries to start an error message is seen. The error is similar to the following:

ld.so.1: tibemsd64: fatal: libresolv.so.2: version `SUNW_2.2.2' not found (required by file tibemsd64)

Environment:

Operative System: Solaris 10 kernel version prior to 137112-01.
TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ (EMS) version 5.x

Resolution:
===========
It is recommended that the most current OS patches be applied to the host environment. The particulr issue can be resolved once the correspondent patches are applied.
For TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ (EMS) 5.x, Solaris 10 Version 137112-01 and higher are supported.
