Description
Resolution: Environment: =========== o All versions of TIBCO Adapter for SAP (R/3) on all Platforms o All versions of SAP systems.
Resolution: ============ This depends on the version of SAP software.
In previous version of SAP software, passwords are not case sensitive. All password characters are automatically converted to uppercase. But after SAP RFC 6.40, there is a policy change in SAP software. The password characters are not automatically converted to uppercase and so passwords are case sensitive.
From the view of the JCo library, the 2.1.6 or higher versions are the required library of the TIBCO ActiveMatrix (R) Adapter for SAP. And since the SAP JCo 2.1.5, the library does not convert the password characters to upper case automatically.
Therefore, if we are using older kernel version of SAP until 6.40(inclusive) with JCo version later than 2.1.5, we need to specify the password in capital letters. For those kernel versions later the 640, it is not mandatory to specify the password in capital letters.
