Resolution: Description: ============ The TIBCO Adapter for SAP (R/3) crashes when processing the outbound qRFC call.
Environment: =========== o All versions of TIBCO Adapter for SAP (R/3) on all Platforms o All versions of SAP systems.
Symptoms: ======== 1. Configure an Outbound R/3 adapter with RPCC service. 2. Start the adapter. 3. Use transaction SE38 to run the BAPI which invokes the RPCC in qRFC mode. 4. Adapter crashes without error log.
Cause: ===== The RPCC service is not configured as a one-way operation.
Resolution: ========== A: Configure a new service as a one-way operation: 1. In the designer, select the Adapter Services folder. Specify the required filter criteria and click Fetch RFC/BAPIs. While the RFC/BAPIs are being fetched the RFC/BAPIs tab is displayed. 2. Select the required RFC or BAPIs in the RFC BAPIs tab and choose the “One Way” in “Invocation Protocol” filed to configure the service as a one-way operation.
B: Configure an existing service as a one-way operation: 1. Open the R/3 adapter project in Designer. 2. Go to the AESchemas->ae->700(or 640, depends on the kernel version of the SAP software) ->basic->functionModules->Classes->“RFC name” folder. (“RFC name” indicates the name of the RFC which will be invoked in BAPI in qRFC mode.) 3. Check the “One Way” in the sub node of the “RFC name” node.
