With the recent introduction of TIBCO ActiveMatrix® BPM, customers have been asking about the future of TIBCO iProcess™ Engine. At this time, TIBCO has not scheduled, nor announced, an end-of-life date for iProcess™ Engine.
iProcess Engine continues to be a strategic product for TIBCO, driving over a thousand mission-critical systems worldwide. Many of TIBCO’s customers depend on iProcess to run key elements of their core business processes. TIBCO is committed to maintaining and enhancing iProcess Engine, fixing defects, retaining platform currency, improving stability, and implementing customer-driven enhancements.
Current iProcess Engine installations can be maintained and expanded, with full support from TIBCO. Those starting new projects may choose iProcess, but should also consider TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM. Should end-of-life be announced for iProcess at some point in the future, TIBCO intends to provide at least 24 months advance notice of the final retirement date.
