TIBCO BusinessConnect(BC) support the use of the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) transport over an external proxy. BC can be configured to support proxies that support the FTP protocol, the HTTP protocol, and the SOCKS protocol.
Some HTTP proxies support the use of the FTP protocol as well. Can BC support the use of this protocol?

Using FTP over an HTTP proxy is not recommended as there are limitations as to what features an HTTP proxy can support for an FTP client. Many HTTP proxies support only the GET command and do not support the PUT command, DELETE command, etc. For the best results use an FTP proxy when using an external proxy with the FTP protocol.
