This Solution is specific to Microsoft WIndows.
Cause:
======
The error usually occurs when there is already an RVD or RVRD process running on the machine using the same TCP port (as specified in the -listen parameter) as the RVD which is going to be started as a service.
Other programs (e.g. TIBCO Hawk Agent, TIBCO Administrator) have automatically started the RV daemon on the machine. There was then an attempt to start the RVD as a Windows service with the same TCP port as was being used by the TIBCO Hawk/TIBCO Administrator. Hence, the "service-specific error 1" was reported.

Please check with the Windows Task Manager to see if "rvd.exe"/"rvrd.exe" is running on the machine.
