Description
Resolution: Description: ========== How to configure heartbeat for TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Database fault tolerance. What should be considered?
Environment: =========== Platform: All ADB Adapter Version: 5.x, 6.0.0 and 6.1.0
Resolution: ========== Consider the following when configuring the heartbeat parameter when running in fault tolerance mode:
1). With ADB Adapter 5.5 and prior version, adb.heartbeat was used.
1.1). adb.heartbeat:The time interval that the secondary adapter will try to lock the mutex table.
2). With ADB Adapter 6.0 and 6.1, adb.primary.heartbeat and adb.secondary.heartbeat were used. adb.heartbeat was deprecated.
2.1). adb.primary.heartbeat: The time interval that the primary instance will execute a dummy select statement to the database in order to keep the connection that holds the lock to remain active.
2.2). adb.secondary.heartbeat: The time interval that the secondary instance(s) will wait before sending the next query message to detect the existence of a primary instance.
3). When the above parameter was very small, such as 1 millisecond, it would make the adapter busy querying the status and lead to functionality loss.
