What is the index property on a property's "extend properties" used for?

   3.x --> Concept --> Properties --> right click on a property --> Extended properties --> index
   4.x --> Concept --> properties -> right click on a property --> Metadata --> index
  
By default, the index property is false. We have defined some concepts properties to have the index property as true. We are generating a SQL script with be-jdbedeploy.exe. These indexes are not created in the SQLl scripts. Please help us understand what is the index property used for.

Resolution

The index property in the extended properties is used for creating indexes in the cache (tuning Coherence queries e.g. C_QueryConcepts). It is not related to the backing store. Please un-set those index properties which you may have mistakenly added.
  
If you are determined that additional indexes are required for certain tables, one possible way is to develop SQL scripts for generating the required indexes by yourself.
