Description
Resolution: Description: =========
Two nodes named Cache and Agent. The Cache node is started first followed by the Agent node. The Agent node was unable to join the cluster and the following exception was seen:
"com.tangosol.net.RequestPolicyException: No storage-enabled nodes exist for service DistributedCache"
Environment: ========= TIBCO BusinessEvents: All versions.
Cause: ===== "com.tangosol.net.RequestPolicyException: No storage-enabled nodes exist for service DistributedCache" indicates that there is no storage-enabled nodes exist for service DistributedCache.
If the Cache node is running, see if multicast works in your environment. It has been noted that multicast becomes disabled when a USB modem is used. The Agent is able to join the Cache cluster after switching off the USB modem.
Resolution: ======== How to check if multicast works?
Run the Multicast Test Utility to check the multicast. To run the Multicast Test use the following syntax:
If multicast works you should get the following information:
>>>>>>>>>>>> Starting test on ip=chenghui-lt/192.168.69.49, group=/224.3.3.11:31339, ttl=4 Configuring multicast socket... Starting listener... Thu Feb 17 09:22:58 CST 2011: Sent packet 1. Thu Feb 17 09:22:58 CST 2011: Received test packet 1 from self Thu Feb 17 09:23:00 CST 2011: Sent packet 2. Thu Feb 17 09:23:00 CST 2011: Received test packet 2 from self Thu Feb 17 09:23:02 CST 2011: Sent packet 3. <<<<<<<<<<<<<
If multicast does not work you will only send packets but not receive any.
