Causes:

You will get the above error when you configure the following in routes.conf:
-----------------------------------------------
  zone_name = default_mhop_zone
  zone_type   = 1hop
------------------------------------------------

The cause of the error, “ERROR: Configuration error: file=routes.conf, line=xxx: invalid line syntax or line out of order”, is that the zone has type "1hop" but the default zone name "default_mhop_zone" is only for the zone type of mhop.

Resolution:
========

Use other name than "default_mhop_zone" for the route that has type "1hop".
