Description:
TIBCO® Adapter SDK 5.5.1 now supports TRA 5.7.1 and higher 5.7.x, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation.  The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO® Adapter SDK.


Limitations and Restrictions:

Please note that a Security Advisory was announced on February 1, 2011 for TRA 5.7.0 (http://www.tibco.com/services/support/advisories/), so Support for TRA 5.7.0 has not been added to TIBCO® Adapter SDK 5.5.1. For further inquiries about Support for TRA 5.7.0, please contact TIBCO Support.

SDK contains Java part and C++ part, so we list them in two parts as follows:

SDK [Java]:

For all the platforms, TIBCO® Adapter SDK 5.5.1 supports 32-bit and 64-bit TRA executables.


SDK [C++]:

For HP-UX Itanium, the 64-bit TRA executable should be used.

For the remaining Unix platforms and Windows platforms, TIBCO® Adapter SDK 5.5.1 is a 32-bit executable that can be run on 64-bit Platforms. On 64-bit Unix Platforms, either the 32-bit or 64-bit TRA executable can be used. On 64-bit Windows platforms, it is recommended that the 32-bit TRA executable be used unless the 32-bit adapter needs to run on the same Windows machine with the 64-bit TRA executable and other 64-bit TIBCO applications. In order to use product version with the 64-bit TRA executable, please follow the configuration steps below:
* SOL1-BT3Y0H - Configuring C++ TIBCO (R) Adapters to work with TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.7.1 and 5.7.2 (64-bit) for Windows.
* SOL1-DBPHEK - Configuring C++ TIBCO (R) Adapters (32-bit) to work with TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.7.3 and TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.7.4 (64-bit) for Windows.

Configuration Changes:

Because DataDirect drivers are no longer shipped in TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.7.1, 5.7.2, 5.7.3 and 5.7.4, TIBCO Adapters should use vendor-supplied database drivers for design-time configuration and runtime implementation. Please refer to  SOL1-BHBRDL for detailed configuration steps.
