TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager (CIM) has a known issue where in during "direct load import" duplicate product keys could be created in database. This issue could have potentially created duplicate keys in the system.


Environment:

   o TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager (CIM) 8.0.1 and 8.1



Resolution:

Please install CIM 8.0.1 hotfix16 or CIM 8.1 hotfix03 whichever is applicable in your case.

Following utilities are provided in the hotfix to –

a)    To find out if there are any duplicate product keys in the system

b)    Fix the duplicate product keys if there are duplicate product keys in the system

c)    To make sure duplicate product keys are not created in the system going forward

Please take a look at the hotfix README file for more details on this.


Also, after applying this fix customers may see performance degradation (10-20%) with "direct load import". It does not affect other CIM functionality..
