Dear GridServer users,

The Mozilla Foundation has recently shifted the Firefox development to an accelerated release cycle. The net effect of this is to make it a lot more difficult to support Firefox in an enterprise environment where the release cycles are much slower.

We are committed to continue supporting Firefox with GridServer, however we will not be able to continue providing the same level of support as we do for Internet Explorer. Starting with Firefox 5, issues with Firefox will be fixed on a best effort basis and will usually not be released as part of hotfixes.

In practice, this should make no difference to you. Over the past few years, all the major browsers have converged to supporting web standards making browser specific issues increasingly rare.

Finally if you have any issues with an unsupported browser like Chrome or Safari, while we can't guarantee any timely fix, we would welcome any bug reports.
