TIBCO classic (standalone) adapters can interoperate with ActiveMatrix (AMX) 2.x components in multiple ways. The TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Service Engines  (ASE) are components of the ActiveMatrix Adapters that allow the adapters to run as ActiveMatrix 2.x containers. The Service Engine components of TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapters are being deprecated (see the list of Service Engine components below):

•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for Files (Unix/Win)
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for IBM i
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for Kenan/BP
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for Lotus Notes
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for PeopleSoft
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for SAP
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for Siebel
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for Tuxedo
•  TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter Service Engine for WebSphere MQ

Any use of a deprecated feature should be discontinued as it may be removed in a future release. You should avoid becoming dependent on deprecated features and become familiar with the suggested alternative feature.  Please refer to LBN1-A501CD for information on alternatives approaches on how TIBCO Adapters can interoperate with ActiveMatrix 2.x components.
