If you are installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.2 along with the following ActiveMatrix family products and TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.2 is not the first product to be installed, installation may fail while installing ActiveMatrix Decisions 1.0 or ActiveMatrix 3.1.3 HotFixes: ¿  ¿ ¿ • TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid 3.1.3   • TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM 1.2.0

¿It is because the ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.2 is based on ActiveMatrix 3.1.2 and uses Universal Installer 2.8.0 whereas other ActiveMatrix products listed above are based on ActiveMatrix 3.1.3. In this case, installing ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.2 reverts the platform version from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 in the _installinfo folder.

To avoid this installation error, follow the steps:

1.  Download the TIBCO Universal Installer version 2.9.4 V2 from the TIBCO Support FTP server ftp://support-ftp.tibco.com.

2. Replace TIBCOUniversalInstaller.exe of ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine 5.9.2 with the TIBCOUniversalInstaller.exe downloaded in Step 1. ¿

3. During ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Service Engine installation, un-check “TIBCOHost” and “AMX-Administrator” checkboxes.
