Silent Installation of TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.0 not working due to missing dependency components in _installInfo.xml (businessevents-standard_5.0.0.000_prodInfo.xml file) after installation which are required for Hotfix 02 as they have a dependency on components “Monitoring and Management” and “Tibco DataGrid”.

Symptoms:
============
The following error was thrown after BusinessEvents 5.0.0 base version and Hotfix 02 were installed in Silent Mode. The error was seen in both the Windows and Linux environment.

(Jan 16, 2012 3:23:22 PM), Install, com.tibco.installer.util.TIBCOInstaller, wrn.TIBINS212908: Warning, tibco_uninversal_installer,  DEPENDENCY CHECK FAILED:
The installation feature, TIBCO BusinessEvents Studio Hotfix2, has failed an internal dependency check.
TIBCO BusinessEvents Studio (5.0.0.0) or above is required and could not be located in the current installation root directory.
Please choose one of the following options., Option selected = Exit Installation(0)


Cause:
======
All components for BusinessEvents 5.0 were installed correctly when using Silent installation. The problem was after installation where the XML file (_installInfo.xml) had missing dependency components for Tibco DataGrid and Monitoring and Management console.  

Hotfix 02 checks this XML file for both records and failed due to a dependency check on Hotfix 02 components.

Log installation files are found in C:&ltUser Area>\.TIBCO directory.

Resolution:

Add the following to the Silent file for the Hotfix and run the Hotfix using the Silent mode on the command line as follows: TibcoUniversalInstaller -silent

The environment name and installation root for the Silent file must match the TIBCO_HOME settings defined within the _envInfo.xml file, else this will not work.

For Windows:

For Linux:

The Businessevents-standard_5.0.0.000_prodInfo.xml file can be found in: &ltTIBCO_HOME>/_installInfo directory.

After successful installation of the Hotfix, the following entries should be seen in the install log:
