Description:
The following supported environments have been added to TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 since its general availability.  Please refer to the attached amended readme the details regarding these additions.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (TM) 5.9.x
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (TM) 5.10.x
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (TM) 5.11.x
TIBCO Runtime Agent™ 5.7.1 or higher 5.7.x
TIBCO Runtime Agent™ 5.8.x

Any limitations and restrictions and known issues are detailed below.

Please note that any new features or functionality available with these additional environments are not necessarily supported by TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0.  Please contact Support if there are any questions regarding whether a certain feature is supported by TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0.

TIBCO Runtime Agent™ 5.8.x
[ADDED 18-Jul-2013]

TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 now supports TRA 5.8.x, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation. The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT.  Because TRA 5.8.x supports JRE 1.7, TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 now supports JRE 1.7.

Limitations and Restrictions:

For HP Itanium, TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 supports 64-bit TRA executable.

For IBM AIX platforms, TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 supports 32-bit and 64-bit TRA executables.  The 32-bit adapter executable should be used with the 32-bit TRA executable and the 64-bit adapter executable should be used with the 64-bit TRA executable.

For all other platforms, TIBCO Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 supports 32-bit and 64-bit TRA executables.

Configuration Changes:
Because DataDirect drivers are no longer shipped in TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.8.x, TIBCO Adapters should use vendor-supplied database drivers for design-time configuration and runtime implementation. Please refer to SOL1-BHBRDL for detailed configuration steps.

In order to run the adapter with the 64-bit TRA package (which uses the 64-bit JVM), a workaround must be implemented. For workaround details, see SOL1-C9RZZX: How to run adapters developed using TIBCO Adapter (R) SDK (Java) with 64-bit TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) (TRA) 5.7.x and 5.8.x

Known Issues:

SOL1-EGXXWN -  Installation error occurs when installing TRA 5.8.0 and RV 8.4.0 with  TIBCO Adapters that are not bundled with universal installer.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (TM) 5.11.x

Limitations and Restrictions:

Both 32-bit and 64-bit BusinessWorks executables are supported. If BusinessWorks and TIBCO Adapters will be installed on the same machine, the bitness of both products may need to be the same. Please check the adapter's product documentation and LBNs for any limitations regarding bitness Support.

TIBCO ActiveMatrixBusinessWorks includes the following:
  * TIBCO Active Matrix Business Works - Business Works engine that does not run as a Service Engine; for use by customers that are not using Active Matrix
  * TIBCO Active Matrix Business Works Service Engine (BWSE) - Business Works Engine running as a Service Engine for use within Active Matrix
No adapter configuration changes are required to use TIBCO Active Matrix BusinessWorks.

For details on using TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 with BWSE 5.6.x, 5.7.x, 5.8.x, or 5.9.2 or higher 5.9.x, please refer to LBN1-8Y6BMF - How can standalone adapters interoperate with ActiveMatrix Business Works Service Engine (BWSE) 5.6.x, 5.7.x, 5.8.x, and 5.9.x?

Limitations and Restrictions:

Limitations and Restrictions:

    Please note that a Security Advisory was announced on February 1, 2011 for TRA 5.7.0 (http://www.tibco.com/services/support/advisories/), so Support for TRA 5.7.0 has not been added to  TIBCO(R) Adapterfor SWIFT 5.8.0. For further inquiries about Support for TRA 5.7.0, please contact TIBCO Support.

    For HP-UX Itanium, 64-bit TRA is required, as the SWIFTNet-FIN BusinessWorks Plugin is a 64-bit application.

   For AIX, TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 supports 32-bit and 64-bit TRA executable.  The 32-bit adapter executable should be used with the 32-bit TRA executable and the 64-bit adapter executable should be used with the 64-bit TRA executable.

   For all other platforms, TIBCO(R) Adapter for SWIFT 5.9.0 supports 32-bit and 64-bit TRA executable.
